Meet the Team
Anna is the founder of Pulse Spikes. She is currently a junior at Yale College studying Computing and the Arts. She’s fascinated by the multidimensionality of young people, from creatives who are passionate about information accessibility to technologists who are fighting climate change. She’s excited to share more stories of young people working at various intersections to positively change their local and larger communities.
Ana is the Editorial Director of Pulse Spikes and is currently a junior at New York University studying Politics and Journalism. She is passionate about making sure that everybody has a platform and an opportunity to have their voices heard. Some of her favorite things are chocolate, her dog Praga, sunsets, arepas, her family, music, the beach and her friends (in no particular order).
Janice is currently a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania studying computer science. She's interested in how computer science can be used for social impact, focusing her studies on human-computer interaction and cognitive science. In her free time, she enjoys exploring design, discovering new artists, and trying new recipes.
Sophie is currently a junior at NYU studying Sustainable Fashion Business and Merchandising. She is passionate about everything beauty and fashion, specifically the role of fashion businesses in creating socially responsible and eco-friendly global supply chains.
Meghana is a writer from Saint Louis, who went to college in Boston. She loves learning from her peers, listening to music, and she’s always down for a pepperoni pizza.
Jamie is a first-year at Yale, who is focused on economics and computer science. She’s also a dancer and loves delving into new interests including AR art and baking.
Ishita is currently a high school senior based in Texas. She is an aspiring writer and political activist who is interested in public policy and social justice.
Ana Sofia is currently a student at NYU, where she studies Journalism and Media, Culture & Communications. Some issues she wants to bring attention to are environmental activism, sustainability, and women creators. Coming from Latin America, she also cares about making sure Latinx people are accurately represented in society.
Mallika is really passionate about the intersection of journalism and technology. She believes that there is a strong connection between the liberal arts and STEM, and she hopes to explore that in the pieces she writes and the stories we share!
Isabella refers to herself as “a part-time student, part-time writer, and full-time dreamer.” In addition to writing for Pulse Spikes, she contributes to various other publications and is also the founder of Sense of Self Magazine. She hopes that her writing makes you feel a little more connected and aware of the world around you, the media you consume, and the people you look up to, while inspiring you to always be your most authentic being.
